My Current research..

Commonly known as loco "Concholepas concholepas" is a unique carnivorous marine gastropod from Chile.. It has been scarcely studied so there is a lot of research areas to work on. In our lab we are investigating the digestive enzymes involved in digestion and its capabilities in food degradation. Specifically we are working with proteases and amylases. And also we are starting a new branch of research based on the roles of agmatinase in the eyes and sensory tentacles.. thats all for now.. just an introduction and presentation.

Here´s a photo from loco on my hand, as you see is very similar to abalone.but this one is carnivorous and more tasty :-)
